A Node is a visual representation of an entity.
 
One can control the appearance of a node using settings such as
Node Appearance: Colors, Label/Image, Halo Size/Shape, Node Tags

An Edge is a visual representation of a relation.  It is a line that connects two nodes.
 
One can control the appearance of a node using settings such as
Edge Appearance: Colors, Width/Pattern, Edge Tags/Arrows

Node Tag: Icon

A Node Tag icon is an image that appears in the upper right hand corner of a node.
 
One can control the appearance of Node Tags using the Node Appearance: Node Tags settings.

A Node Tag can also be a bit or text or a number that appears in the upper right hand corner of a node.

A node halo is a translucent shape that appears behind the node.

An Edge Tag is a bit of text that appears in the middle of an edge.
